A guided walk/talk around Newark's timber framed heritage
As well as spotting the less obvious & well-disguised timber-framed buildings, this walk, guided by local architect Bernard Martin, around the centre of Newark, will visit some of the timber-framed buildings.
A History of Roads and Travel in Coaching Times
An exhibition of the the development of roads and travel and the coaching system with a study of Tuxford, one of the earliest stops on the Great North Road. There will be an illustrated talk on September 15th 1400.
A Lasting Legacy at Newark Cemetery Chapel Interpretation Centre
The chapel in Newark Cemetery will be open with members of the Friends of Newark Cemetery on hand to help locate graves. There will also be a display in the Chapel entitled 'A Lasting Legacy'.

The Friends of Newark Town Hall Museum and Art Gallery present 'Art on the Move' in the Spotlight Gallery. Traditional Folk Art began on canal boats in the 1850s and has evolved with styles adapted to modern materials and designs.
