  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

Kevin Winter will lead a walking tour of Newark looking at the routes, networks and connections that Newark has been at the heart of for centuries.

Newark is situated on the crossroads of the Fosse Way and the Great North Road and with the River Trent running through it. All of these routes and networks have connected Newark both nationally and internationally over many centuries. This tour will explore how the town grew up around these routes and used them to create those connections, which have seen the area connected to Europe and beyond from around 14,000 years ago to the present day.
