Guided Tours of Holy Trinity Eccleshall

At 2pm there will be a tour entitled 'The Bishops at Eccleshall' - until the late 19th century the Bishops of Lichfield had their main residence in Eccleshall Castle and used Holy Trinity as their alternative cathedral. Join us for a special tour exploring five of the Bishops who are buried at Holy Trinity and their impact and effect on the Church in England.
At 3.30pm there will be a second tour entitled 'The Parish Church through the centuries'. There has been a church on this site since the 7th century and the present building dates from 1190. This tour will explore how we can see the changing fashions and ideas in the very fabric of the building.
