Our partners

Heritage Open Days continues to flourish as a unique joint-venture spanning the public, private and voluntary sectors, with more than 2,200 organisations involved in making the festival happen. Special thanks go to:

The festival community

Partnership working is at the heart of our festival, and without our community of organisers, promoters and coordinators the festival could not happen. Locally, thousands of organisations, community groups and individual volunteers programme, fund and manage a fantastic array of site openings and events, jointly attracting millions of visitors. They make Heritage Open Days England’s largest voluntary cultural event.

National Trust

The festival is brought to you by the National Trust, Europe’s largest conservation charity, looking after nature, beauty and history for everyone to enjoy. The National Trust has helped to deliver this festival since 2011, and it's an important part of how the National Trust highlight's the history, heritage and culture of not just the places it cares for, but of places and communities across the country.

I am a huge fan of Heritage Open Days, and everything that it stands for. Places of history and heritage help to bind our communities together. The festival is an opportunity to celebrate their importance, reaching beyond boundaries and bringing people together; all made possible thanks to the incredible generosity of hundreds of volunteers. Long may it continue to inspire.

Chair of the National Trust
