From Caistor Roman Town to Burgh Castle and on to St Benet's Abbey, 3 iconic heritage sites in Norfolk will host a geocache challenge for everyone to enjoy.

To celebrate HOD's 30th Anniversary, we invite everyone to travel the route, network together and make connections to their cultural past. You can participate in as much or as little as you like, just get out in the fresh air, learn something new and enjoy the beauty of these special places. This event will be open for the 10 days of HOD's. Check our social media website if you would like to coincide your visit with a free guided tour.
please note there are small car parking fees at Caistor Roman Town and Burgh Castle.

Accessibility details

All 3 sites participating in our HOD's Events are Heritage Monuments and have rough terrain and steps. Please wear strong shoes.

Additional information

Burgh Castle and Caistor Roman Town both have car parks which have a fee. Pay by app or card. Norfolk Archaeological Trust sites are open only during day light hours. Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead as all times. Please respect the archaeology, do not climb on the structures or walls.
