Ditton Heritage Centre invites you to step back in time to find out more about us and the history of the village of Ditton. Our volunteers will welcome you to our Victorian classroom and introduce you to our collection of local historical resources.

Ditton Heritage Centre will be hosting two open days and inviting visitors to join us for a taste of our restored Victorian classroom and light refreshments. As well as recreating the atmosphere of a bygone age in education, complete with blackboards, chalk and cane, the centre also boasts a number of displays exploring different aspects of the history of the village of Ditton, which can be traced back to the Domesday Book in 1086. Subjects covered include Ditton’s wartime experiences, its farming history and more recent events such as the village’s twinning with Rang-du-Fliers in France. We also have books, documents, photographs, costumes and lots of other fascinating objects for visitors to explore - from spinning wheels to gas masks!
