CARRIAGE & WAGON COACH TOUR/LIFT DEMO

Take a short tour of our Carriage workshop in Pickering with one of our volunteers. The tour will explain what is involved in carrying out routine maintenance right through to full overhauls.
Certain heritage rail vehicles will also be on display as well as a demonstration of lifting a coach of its bogies.

• The Carriage & Wagon department is a potentially hazardous working environment. Consequently, Participants must be reasonably fit and agile. • Unfortunately, due to the working environment wheelchairs users cannot be accommodated. • No pets are allowed on the tour including guide dogs/assistance dogs due to safety reasons. • Participants will need to wear suitable clothing and footwear.
