Brackley Road Cemetery, Brackley Road, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, MK18 1JA

  • Multiple dates available
  • In person
  • Pre-booking required

Join us for CWGC tours of Brackley Road Cemetery in Buckingham. The cemetery is the final resting place of 10 soldiers and airmen who died in the service of their country during WW1 & 2. Hear their stories and learn the history of the Commission.

During these Heritage Open Days tours we will talk about the CWGC and look at the stories of the ten service personnel from the First and Second World War buried in the cemetery. One of these is 2nd Lieutenant Frank Luker who saw service in the Gloucester Regiment in France and then the Mediterranean. He was then commissioned, joining the newly formed Royal Air Force in 1918. The casualties from the Second World War include Gunner George Jones who was serving with a Royal Artillery unit involved with the air defence of London.
