The grade II listed building of Central Baptist Church Leicester was erected in the 1830’s Georgian period. The main sanctuary was refurbished in 2017 and hosts a large tracker action organ and the William Carey museum. William Carey was a Missionary.

Its to have a look in the building and if interested about William Carey museum people can spend about a half an hour in the museum. There will be someone to explain the history of the Museum hopefully about the church building. Walk in from the front of the Building on through the church main doors.

This site is to see one of the old churches in Leicester. William Carey Museum is for those who are interested to know about the great Man William Carey who was part of this Church and travelled to India as a Missionary and did great work of translating the Bible in Indian languages and also a Man who stood against the social evil practices. He never returned back to the UK. This is the Church congregation sent him to India.
