This talk by Sarah Yates explores how in the early 20th century, a group of pioneering women campaigned and demonstrated in practical ways how new technology could improve the lives and homes of all women.
Grane Engineering Museum is a work in progress where community volunteers are bringing this Edwardian Steam Mill back to life after decades of neglect. See its mighty 500hp mill engine, looms in the weaving shed and other engineering exhibits.
Built in 1668, Newent’s black and white Market House has been the centre of the town for over 300 years. It houses a display of local history and a large collection of local artefacts plus music history featuring locals Joe Meek and Rutland Boughton.

Cambray Baptist Church is a listed building which was built in 1855. It has been updated and extended over the years, but retains original features. The building is home to a large active church and there will be displays on our history.

A wonderful reminder of Brixton's rural past and inner London's last windmill. Built in 1816 by the Ashby family who produced flour until 1934. Restored 2011. Still producing flour today using a historic modular mill, thanks to our volunteer millers.
