St Michael's Church stands on the site of the Roman fort of Aballava on Hadrian's Wall and is made of stone from the wall itself. It has had an interesting history over the centuries and is well worth a visit.
The Grade II* listed water powered corn mill will be open this Heritage Open Days. The mill will be working producing stoneground flour and there will be produce for sale
