A Great War exhibition with details of local men like Wolverton’s Albert French. See what life was like in the networks of trenches across Western Europe. Also details of our monthly talks by guest speakers and tips on tracing WWI ancestors.

Life in the Trenches - see a mock-up of part of a trench and the worst and best aspects of living in one. Learn about the devastating effects of poison gas and “The Attack of the Dead”. Listen to songs from the era. There will also be displays related to Inventions from the War, Women in the War, WW1 Artists, Poets, Composers and Writers, Maps of the Western Front and Tracing Your World War 1 Ancestor. Remembering and Sharing the History of The Great War - The Western Front Association was formed to maintain interest in the period 1914-1918, on all sides and on all Fronts. It does not seek to glorify war and is entirely non-political and is not commercially motivated.

The Milton Keynes Branch holds meetings on the third Friday of the month with guest speakers on a variety of topics related to World War 1. You do not need to be a member of the WFA to come to our meetings and we welcome everyone with an interest in the Great War.
