World Museum: Inside and Out tour

A building stone and sculpture walk looking at the materials used in the construction of the World Museum, focusing on the decorative features of the building and the 1896-1906 extension. The tour will look at the changes made to the original museum building to rectify the damage caused to the building during World War II. There may also be the opportunity to briefly see some of the museum's natural history collections.
Children over 11 years of age are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Please note the tour goes into secure areas so it will not be easy to leave the group until the tour has ended. Not suitable for young children.

This tour will use several staircases within the building. Wheelchair access is possible but will mean a slight separation from the main group until we can reconvene in the area of interest. Meeting place is by the Information desk in the World Museum atrium which has level access.
