Winkworth Arboretum
Winkworth Arboretum, Visitor Centre, Hascombe Road, Godalming, Surrey, GU8 4AD
Immerse yourself in texture, colour and fragrance. Bursts of colour excite the senses at every turn and changes take place every day of the season. Perfect for a family picnic in the summer or a stroll through the crisp leaves in autumn when the foliage is ablaze. In spring, the rich and stark winter landscape gives way to brilliant carpets of old English bluebells with impressive displays of azaleas and magnolias. You could say that the views are best seen from the boathouse where the colour is reflected in the giant lake and wildlife can be spotted.
Although much of the Arboretum is planted on steep slopes we have an 'access for all' path, which will enable visitors of all abilities to make the most of their visit.
And don't forget the tea-room offering delicious homemade scones, cakes and light lunches.
