Winchester Friends (Quaker) Meeting House

Our house has a number of interesting historic features outside and inside. From the top floor there are great views of Wolvesey Castle and the Bishops Palace. The garden is a beautiful enclosed spot with areas for quiet sitting or meditation- a perfect place to enjoy some peace and a drink, with maybe a cream tea!
Our exhibition this year will consist of many colourful collages created by many people all over the country to draw attention to conservation issues and climate change. There will be an opportunity to start one of your own panels as well with craft materials available-bring your family to join in with this exciting and meaningful project.

The ground floor of the house and the garden are wheel chair and disabled friendly but not the upper floors unfortunately.

Additional information

The house and garden are an interest in themselves but also it is the Meeting House of Quakers in Winchester- a quiet hour of stillness each Sunday morning and Wednesday Lunchtime (half hour). Many other organisations and hirers use our house during the week. We have wardens who are on duty for most parts of the week.
