Discover and appreciate the wonderful trees of Whirlow Brook Park and their global connections. Learn about the Park's tree collection and the foresight of the Park's previous owners who planted them.

Whirlow Brook Park, hidden away in the Limb Valley off Ecclesall Road South, has one of the best tree collections in Sheffield. Previously the home to the Fawcett family, many of the trees were planted in the early 20th century, when the land was a private garden. Tree planting continued after 1951 when the Park was established and more trees have been added by the Friends of Whirlow Brook in recent years.
Visit us to view the trees and discover more about them, their special properties and how we are caring for them for the future. Over 30 of our trees have QR codes taking you to more information about the trees. Tree trail leaflets will be available to guide you round the Park to find the trees, plus guided walks will help identify the trees from around the world which make this Park so beautiful.
Our photographic displays and information boards in Whirlow Brook Hall will tell the story of the development of the gardens and the family who planted the trees in the early 20th century.
