West Park United Reformed Church
West Park, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG1 1BL
This church was built in 1862 at the entrance to the proposed Victoria Park. Designed to seat 700, it provided one of many places of worship for visitors who came to Harrogate to "take the waters". It was soon extended to provide a school and again to provide a cottage for a caretaker. Over the years the building has started to deteriorate and there are bold plans to restore it and give it new uses, alongside retaining a place of worship.
