Discover Wavertree Lock Up, a listed building is situated on Wavertree Village Green and over 200 years old. It originally served to house local drunks but was used to house some Irish immigrant families during the potatoes famine in Ireland.

Built of sandstone, two storeys in height and octagonal in shape, the Wavertree Lock Up it is one of two still remaining in Liverpool, the other being the Everton Lock Up, the symbol used as a logo on the Everton Football shirt.
