Visit Captain Sandys-Winsch's beautiful Grade II listed park, redesigned in the 1930s. As well as great views from the pavilion balcony, there will be flowerbeds in bloom, live music, and exhibitions of the history of the park and its bowling club.

One of a series of Norwich parks free to the public, and built or redesigned in the 1930s, Waterloo Park has been lovingly restored over the last quarter of a century by Norwich City Council. The park, which has been awarded a prestigious Green Flag award for the last four years, is maintained by the council with the support of the Friends of Waterloo Park. The park has a popular café, brand new children's play equipment, tennis courts, and well-maintained flower beds, all in a superbly landscaped setting that visitors and locals alike describe as peaceful, safe, and welcoming to all.

The exhibitions - in the old bowling green pavilion (next to the newly-established wildflower meadow) and in the upstairs room above the café - give a full explanation of the history of the park since it was first built in the 1900s. There are photographs of the park and events that have taken place in it, original records relating to the park, maps - and a spectacular view from upstairs. The café will be open as usual, and there will be live music throughout the day. There is a free car park, as well as bike racks and accessible paths.
