Visit Captain Sandys-Winsch's beautiful Grade II listed park, redesigned in the 1930s. As well as great views from the pavilion balcony, there will be flowerbeds in bloom, live music, and exhibitions of the history of the park and its bowling club.

Enjoy the view from the balcony of the Pavilion. See the new exhibition of the interesting history of the park, a treasured gem that is loved by all who know it. Waterloo Park was first opened in 1904 during a period when Norwich was expanding rapidly, but the park as it appears today was completely redesigned during the inter-war period by the city's Superintendent of Parks, Captain Sandys-Winsch. Over the decades it has developed as its fortunes have waxed and waned - it was taken over by the army during both world wars, it has in the past hosted numerous sporting competitions, fairs, and music events, and the trees and herbaceous borders have matured to make this peaceful and beautiful place to visit. The ever-popular café run by the Feed, the revitalised flower beds, and the new children's play area have all helped to give this wonderful place a new lease of life.
