Explore the former Walkley New Reform Club (1909) with a guided tour of this charming Edwardian building in the company of the Walkley Historians.

A chance to meet the Walkley Historians in the former Walkley New reform Club which has retained many original features in what the Pevsner Guide describes as “minimal art nouveau style”

The event will include tours of the building by the Walkley Historians, visiting the Ruskin Hall with its sprung dance floor and stage, the original Snooker Hall, the WW1 memorial window and the Appleyard Room named after founder Councillor Walter Appleyard. The historians will also display a selection of local photos, maps, census material, books and merchandise.

There is a step at the front entrance. Wheelchair access is through the fire exit at the back of the building through the car park. Wheelchairs will have downstairs access only.
