Wade Court Garden
West Wing, Wade Court, Wade Lane, Havant, Hampshire, PO9 2TB
A large house and many outbuildings were constructed in the 19th Century based on existing medieval buildings and a channel was constructed from the Lymbourne Stream. Between 1833 & 1840 Wade Farm became Wade Court. In the late 19th and early 30th centuries the owner, Marshall Nesbitt Inman enlarged the area by purchasing land west of the stream and landscaped the gardens in the Japanese style. Many trees were planted and Parkland landscaped.
Wade Court West, 1/3 of the main property, was acquired by the present owners in 2004 and for eighteen years they have been restoring the gardens, the lake and the pond. The rose garden, the Italian garden and the Japanese garden can now be visited and the water courses seen in their original style.

This is a tour specifically for able bodied adults due to unstable ground in a private garden with deep water. It is regrettably unsuitable for wheelchairs or children.
An interest in garden design could be helpful but is not essential
