Upton House
Upton Country Park, Poole Road, Upton, Poole, Dorset, BH17 7BJ
On the 14th and 15th September explore the ground floor of Upton House to discover the families that have called it home and their links to the local and global community.
Exhibitions by Arts University Bournemouth Costume and Bournemouth University History students will guide you through the open House and its 200 year history, to tell the stories of its inhabitants and how they were involved in Poole's Newfoundland trade, a very Victorian scandal, and the local community throughout the 20th century.
You can also pre-book a free, below-stairs guided tour of the House’s basement level to find out more about the people that kept the place running, or speak to our Research Volunteers who are uncovering more stories with our recent new acquisitions.
The House will be open from 10am-4pm each day with refreshments available in the Dining Room as well as in the Country Park Tea Rooms.
Step free access is to the ground floor only, basement tours have no step free access.
Follow Upton Country Park's facebook and instagram pages or keep an eye on our website events page as more details about the day are added.
