The Hospital of the Holy and Undivided Trinity is a charity founded under the will of Dr John Darrel in 1664. The object of the charity, established in 1671, was to provide shelter, support and guidance for single or widowed gentlemen (known as brothers) aged over 50 years and from the Retford and surrounding area

The charity has existed for over 350 years and continues to provide 15 almshouse cottages where the brothers can live independent lives in their own cottages while coming together for daily worship. The charity supports the brothers and provides a chaplain to look after their spiritual welfare and an on-site Scheme Manager to assist their physical well being.
