There are remains of stations and railway equipment in various states along the way and reminders of the industries that once depended on this railway. Much of the walk is through woodland and other green spaces with a variety of wildlife. Walkers will also be given information highlighting parts of the South Yorkshire Railway’s route still visible from the tram back from Meadowhall to Sheffield.
