Tracing The Threads Of Our Historic Connections
The Grange, Rectory Lane, Little Bookham, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT23 4DZ
Uncover the rich tapestry of our past at The Grange Centre's Heritage Day celebration! Join us for a journey through time as we reveal those who forged the path for our charity. Embark on guided tours that weave together the narratives of those who shaped our historic site and the enduring legacy of our charitable endeavours. Don't miss this opportunity to explore the house and grounds, and discover how it has evolved from farm shacks to country house, to The School of Stitchery and Lace and today's home for people with learning disabilities.
Archaeologists from Surrey County Archaeological Unit (SCAU) will be opening a testpit in the grounds of The Grange. Come along and try your hand at excavating, learn more about local archaeology, or take a look at some of the finds. The test pit will be open between 10-3, and all equipment is provided.
