Thundercliffe Grange has been, in turns, a Norman Hermitage, a Monastic Grange, a Gentleman's House, Manor House for Rotherham and Kimberworth, a Mental Asylum for Ladies, a School /Hospital for children with severe Mental or Physical problems, and now a cooperative housing project.

Visitors will have an introductory talk, a chance to walk around much of the ground floor, guided tours of some of the features of the grounds, and leaflets and refreshments. There will also be a running programme of talks by residents about the past and present of the house, grounds and residients

Toilets wide enough for wheel chairs, but no grab rails etc. Grounds are uneven, so those wishing to see the grounds features need sensible shoes.
