The Sand House Poetry Workshop

No prior experience of writing poetry is required, this workshop is for beginners and beyond. The event host will talk through a brief overview of the history of the Sand House. You will have the opportunity to view the Sand House display and projector screen in the Danum museum for inspiration. Creative guidance will be given for writing your poem. The poems created will be considered for inclusion on the website of the Sand House Charity. This event is for adults.

The main entrance of Danum Gallery Library and Museum is located at the junction of Waterdale and Chequer Road and is accessed via a gentle slope or some small steps with handrail. The main entrance has a revolving door and one large door that opens inwards to the building. This door is automated with a press button. All floors are accessible via a lift. The lift has capacity for multiple wheelchairs and mobility scooters. A wheelchair is available to borrow by speaking to a member of staff at the welcome desk on the ground floor. Disabled toilets are available.
Pens and paper will be provided for writing. If you prefer, you can bring your laptop or tablet to type out your poem.
