The RAF at Blickling guided walk
Blickling Estate, Aylsham, Norfolk, NR11 6NF
Requisitioned by the War Office in 1940, Blickling provided valuable accommodation to men and women of all ranks who served at nearby RAF Oulton during the Second World War. Walk in their footsteps with one of our knowledgeable volunteers to see all the major billeting sites on the estate and learn about the work carried out here to support the war effort, some of it top secret at the time.

- Walks start outside the barn near the main car park and finish on the front drive outside the house. Main car park on Blickling Road (old B1354, reclassified to C593), signposted off A140 Norwich/Cromer.

Accessibility details
Walk paths include gravel, hard standing and compacted sand surfaces as well as grassed areas. Assistance dogs welcome. Walk route will be approximately 2.6km and take around 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Additional information
Entry to the house and garden before or after the walk subject to normal admission charges, National Trust members free. Please park in the main car park and visit the Welcome team for your free parking permit for Heritage Open Days events.
