Have you always wanted to see behind the scenes at the Playhouse? Well here's your chance! Come for a tour, a coffee or a chat - we will welcome you with open arms. Guided tours, performances, refreshments, and a licensed bar will be available.

Even if you have already visited the Playhouse, this is a unique opportunity to discover how The Lindley Players put on shows, meet the dedicated people that keep the theatre running and maybe even find a new hobby!
Guided tours of the Playhouse will include the dressing rooms, studio, lighting and sound control room, stage, workshop and wardrobe. The technical aspects of producing a show will be demonstrated, this will include lighting, sound, properties and make-up. Refreshments, including a licensed bar will be available.
Families are welcome we find that children are especially fascinated with what goes on behind the scenes. Our approach is to provide a relaxed tour so that people can determine themselves how long they wish to spend with us. Well behaved dogs are welcome in the bar but must be kept on a lead.
The Playhouse is about ten minute walk from the Whitstable railway station. It is in the High Street and can be easily seen. There is a car park at the rear of the Playhouse in Middle Wall which is operated by the Canterbury Council
We have limited wheelchair access but you are welcome to see parts of the theatre and come and chat with us - wheelchair access is available to the bar and dressing room areas and a chair lift up to the upper foyer. there are three steps from the upper foyer to the auditorium.

We have limited wheelchair access but you are welcome to see parts of the theatre and come and chat with us - wheelchair access is available to the bar and dressing room areas and a chair lift up to the upper foyer. There are three steps from the upper foyer to the auditorium. There are small staircases and spiral staircases to the stage and workshop areas.
