The New Caister Lifeboat boat talk and tour

Our team of volunteers will be able to talk to you and show you around our new lifeboat, the one-off design called the Medina Class lifeboat. Designed by our senior crew and a naval architect, she is a significant upgrade on the Valentijn Class Lifeboat which entered service in 2004. Visitors will be able to have a tour of the vessel (although short-notice cancellations may be necessary in the event of an emergency).

Accessibility details
Access to board the boat will require climbing a ladder which some people may have difficulty with. However, we have a fully-accessible viewing deck where anyone with restricted mobility can see the boat from above and be given a talk explaining more about the boat. Pushchairs/prams partial access.
