The Home of an Art Lover: Dunshay Manor
Dunshay Manor, Haycrafts Lane, Harman's Cross, Dorset, BH19 3EB
Dunshay Manor breathes history, lying hidden in its own hollow a couple of miles from the Dorset coast. This ancient house received an Arts & Crafts refurbishment in the 1900s, giving it a friendly, open feel.
Newly restored and refurbished, this is a rare chance to see the house and find out more about the Spencer Watsons. Corfe Castle appears across the fields and the Swanage Steam Railway passes close by.
Information on the building's history and children's activity sheets will be available.
On Saturday 7 September between 11am-2pm, join a drop-in life drawing workshop taking place in Mary Spencer Watson's beautiful former art studio.
