The New Standard Works building houses the Argent College on the upper floors, a college for young adults aged 16-25 with special needs; and the Hive on the ground floor. Both are part of the Ruskin Mill Trust which has sites across the country providing practical skills therapeutic education for children and adults with autism and other learning difficulties. The building, a grade II listed former jewellery manufactory, was brought back into use with the aid of a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant awarded in 2017.
