Richmond’s Old Town Hall is revealing its secrets in this free behind-the-scenes guided tour.

Opened in 1893 as a headquarters for the newly formed Richmond Council, this elegant former Town Hall now houses the borough’s archives, Local Studies and Reference libraries, and the Museum of Richmond. Learn more about the history of the building in this free tour.

Tours start at the war memorial on Whittaker Avenue.

Tours start at 10.00am, 11.00am, 1.00pm and 2.00pm. Each tour lasts one hour.

Accessibility details

There is step-free access up to the 2nd floor, but not to the Local Studies Library on the 3rd floor where an archive display will be held. Anyone unable visit the third floor will be welcome to spend more time in the Museum of Richmond on the 2nd floor.
