The Church on the North Downs Way - Or is it The Pilgrim's Way?
Ranmore Common Road, Ranmore Common, Dorking, Surrey, RH5 6SP
We enjoy opening our church to visitors as it usually has to be kept closed and HOD is an excellent opportunity. Independent and guided tours are available and we always try to answer questions. The bell tower will be accessible to the reasonably fit; our tower captain may allow you to ring a bell! Refreshments will be available and the churchyard is a lovely place to sit in peace and quiet. There is parking although limited and an accessible loo.
The church is officially on the North Downs Way and we frequently welcome walkers on this long distance path. Older maps mark the route across Ranmore as the Pilgrim's Way although there is uncertainty about whether this is the historical route of the pilgrimage. We are happy to debate....

The churchyard is wheelchair accessible as is the loo. There is is a ramp to access the interior but the steps up to the chancel and sanctuary limit access.
Our church was built in 1859 as the church for the Denbies Estate by George Baron Ashcombe; the interior is a Victorian time capsule with much local and national history to be found.
