The bells of St Michael have been ringing for almost 125 years. They were the first Black Country bells to be installed using the Simpson Five Tone method. This year a YouTube video of the bellringers created by Historic England and Wild Rice films went viral and was viewed over eighty three thousand times (search YouTube for "The Bells of Brierley Hill"
Now for Heritage Open Days the bell ringers would like you to join us to chime one of our church bells, or to have a go at handbell ringing on our 150 year old handbells. There is also the opportunity to visit our normally out of bounds ringing room. Free badge for everyone brave enough to have a go at ringing our church bells!!!
