Join one of our knowledgeable volunteers as they offer an insight into the Routes that took Sharpe's Pottery Museum, and other local Industries, around South Derbyshire and across the world!

To celebrate our newest display, focussed on the local industry and the transport links that made it all possible, we are hosting two exciting talks! Join one of our fabulous volunteers in our iconic Grade II listed Kiln Hovel and its surrounding buildings for an introduction to the diverse transport links around Swadlincote. Explore everything from the history of transport throughout the UK to the origins of our local street names. This talk aims to give a insight into the significant impact that these links had on the survival of local industries.

Tickets are free but booking is essential to secure your place! Booking is open now and is available via our website or at our museum front desk.

Refreshments will also be available to purchase from Sweet Caroline's cafe on site at the museum.
