Julian Haggett talks about and demonstrates St Peter Mancroft's Collins organ in its 40th birthday year. Julian will follow his talk with a FREE one hour organ recital in the Mancroft Music series at 1.00pm. (Voluntary retiring collection).

Julian Haggett, organist at St Peter Mancroft, explores the wondrous array of a craftsman’s art, some complex and others simple, that join together in harmony when a new church, cathedral, or concert organ is born. We will learn more about the iconic 1984 Collins baroque style organ here at St Peter Mancroft that is celebrating its 40th birthday this year. Come and find out what made this pipe organ famous and why 40 years later it still stands head and shoulders above new organs in the UK.
