Strangers, The Making of Norwich - by The Shoebox Experiences

"The Strangers" brought an influx of wealth to Norwich, elevating the city to second only to London in prosperity. Despite facing the common plight of xenophobia experienced by newcomers, they left an indelible mark on Norwich's history and identity. Breathing new life into a faltering industry, their influence shaped Norwich's architectural landscape. Flemish gables, Dutch roof designs, and distinctive weavers' windows still adorn many corners of the city, including our weaver's cottage tucked away in the enigmatic “hidden street”. Hear their stories and achievements as we descend two levels beneath Castle Meadow.

Spend 45 minutes revelling in tales from history, led by our fun, engaging and entertaining Experience Hosts.
