Visit this hidden gem of a heritage museum housed in Stocksbridge's historic town hall, where you will discover a unique collection of rare Bolsterstone glass dating from the 17th century, and pottery produced in Midhope and Stocksbridge during the 18th-19th centuries.

There'll be talks from expert local historians throughout the day as you discover the treasures in this hidden gem, plus showings of the restored iconic 1958 film, 'Steel Town'.

Learn about Samuel Fox and why Stocksbridge is the birthplace of the modern umbrella! And discover fascinating facts - did you know that at one time 95% of all the razor blades used in the world were made in Stocksbridge?

Wheelchair access is to the side of the building. The town hall has a very small car park, visitors coming by car can park free in nearby Fox Valley (up to 4 hours free parking). The 57 & 57a buses from Sheffield City Centre stop nearby.
