Founded in 1487, Stockport Grammar School is one of the oldest schools in the country. Join us for a guided tour, free coffee & cake, and discover Sir Edmond's enduring commitment to the children of his home-town and our plans for the future.

SGS has been at the heart of Stockport for 537 years. Discover its history and its continued commitment to the children of Stockport - providing an inspiring academic education in a happy and supportive school community, outreach programmes and facility use for local schools and groups, and bursary places for families who require assistance to afford school fees. Please join us at 6pm for a brief welcome before we commence the tour of the old & new on our post-1916 Hallam site (event concludes at 7.15pm). Everyone welcome but pre-booking is essential.
