Step into Dragon Hall, to enjoy one of Norwich’s most significant medieval buildings and home to the National Centre for Writing . Pick up one of our creative trail maps and explore our building, write a poem or story inspired by our fascinating history, or just relax in our courtyard garden.
Entrance is free – no booking required.
Guided heritage tours are available on Sunday 8 September – please book in advance .

There’s plenty of inspiration to be found in our unique building. Try your hand at family-friendly crafts, enjoy one of our creative trails for adults and children or relax and soak up the creative atmosphere.
Relax and unwind
Join us for nature trails in our garden, poem-writing, or light reading in the Gallery and Great Hall. The garden is also the perfect spot for you to bring your lunch, sit with a book, or bathe in the sunshine.
Dragon Hall is home to the National Centre for Writing and Norwich UNESCO City of Literature.

Accessibility details
Dragon Hall is a listed building and the vast majority of the building is fully accessible via our lifts. A small number of spaces cannot be accessed in a wheelchair or scooter. Please do get in touch if you want to discuss parking or have access needs.
