Ever wondered why the Priests have different coloured Vestments, and what are all the Holy Vessels called? Come and see our displays and learn about the Liturgical times of year and the celebration of the Eucharist, the most important aspect of our faith. There will be some everyday day Vestments word during todays Masses and some really heavy ornate vestments of yesteryears.
Discover our connections to Lady Southwell who donated the land on which the church was built, the Blounte Family, the charge of the Light Brigade and marvel at the stained glass windows designed by Paul Woodroffe.
The Church is of Gothic Perpendicular style and has two amazing reredos' with such intricate carving, a crenelated Tower and a fabulous roof scape. Climb the tiny stairs to the organ loft and listen to the peel of Bells calling the Angelus, the call to mass and more.
A programme of events and a history booklet will be available.

Wheel chair users will not be able to use the narrow staircase to the organ loft. Everything else can be negotiated with time and patience, albeit the lawn is not level and so some strength may be required on the grass.
There will be 3 guided tours of the church and garden during the week, and a walking tour on the Saturday morning followed by a little birthday celebration in the garden - weather permitting. Tour dates and times will be advertised nearer the time. The tour can be between 10 -20 minutes but you are welcome to stay longer to browse the displays in the church, or take tea in the garden or hall weather dependent.
