St Peter's Church Kinver
St Peter's Church, Church Hill, Kinver, Stourbridge, Staffordshire, DY7 6HX
With an early Norman beam roof 15 metres high, a stained glass lantern over the font and a spiral staircase now going nowhere, our beautiful church has many unique features to explore. Adapted, altered and extended from the 13th Centuray onwards, St Peter's has become a beautiful space for congregation, community and visitors to enjoy with a sense of peace that is palpable. See the magnificent 19th Century stained glass window over the altar which floods the church with coloured light during morning services. Next to it is a 20th Century glazed screen by St Peter's own architect John Greaves Smith depicting the church sitting on the hill above the village. You can take time to explore the churchyards and look directly down to Kinver High Street below with it's burgage plots, historic buildings and the beautiful Staffs. and Worcs. Canal running nearby.
