St Paul's Church: Open as part of Yorkshire Churches Day
Queens Road, King Cross, St. Paul's Parish Church, Halifax, West Yorkshire, HX1 3NU
We are looking forward to taking part in the Yorkshire Churches Day again this year, a chance whereby, you get to visit what is a very popular church in the busy urban area of King Cross, Halifax. St. Paul's is a very friendly, thriving church, where people gather weekly from all walks of life, backgrounds and ages to worship.
We have a very traditional looking building, which hasn't been modernised, and still maintains to grow a true Anglo-Catholic form of churchmanship, and founders its music on a good choral tradition. We also hold various other events throughout the year based on performances, including plays, ensembles, choirs, soloists, and talks to name a few, where performers revel in a wonderful acoustic our building has to offer.
We are also working on a couple of major projects, the roof requires replacing and our buy a slate appeal having raised £121,000 so far, and our organ project worth £850,000 which is well on the way, being built in Canterbury. Both projects will help us move forward to provide more accessible facilities which will enable us to open our building to more organisations for use.
We are very proud of our history, our links with the community, our mission in being a charitable organisation, our music and our worship, hoping that when we do open our doors to the public

Although we cannot class our building as having accessible toilets, they can be accessed but with limited mobility.
You can wander around St. Paul's as long as you wish and there is no limited amount of time which is why we haven't stated any length of time of any tours. We will be open for the duration stated and you can be with us for 5 minutes or 5 hours. There is a public car park opposite where the first hour is free, plus there is usually plenty of on-road parking outside on Queens Road. Tourist Information leaflets are available to read at your leisure giving the history about various areas of the building.
