Village church built in medieval times but nearly totally destroyed by fire in 1870. Rebuilt in Victorian style in 1872. Considerable repair and restoration work done in 2022 to celebrate 150 year anniversary including restoration of wall paintings

Come and enjoy a tour of our little village church listening and viewing local church and village history on our audiovisual display and heritage board, admire the restored wall paintings and candelabra.
Take a walk or drive or cycle to other local churches as part of the routes networks and connections theme.
Learn about the legend of Robin Hood and the proximity of Barnsdale Forest and the Great North Road, Robin Hood's Well and Little John's Well.
Follow the old railway line that used to cut through the village
