St Matthews Church, Oxhey

St Matthews is a Grade 2 listed building situated next to Bushey Station. Bushey station opened in 1841 and this stimulated the expansion of what was then called New Bushey, later becoming Oxhey. A need for a new church to serve this growing community was identified and St Matthews was built and opened in 1880. Travellers see the church as the trains pass through the station and the church is seen daily by users of the station and main road.

Today St Matthews is a welcoming and inclusive church community, committed to offering a warm and friendly welcome, which all can be a part of and a place for all ages.
