St Mary's is the Parish Church of Aylesbury and the oldest building in the town center, with many interesting and beautiful features. Visit us during Heritage week to explore the building and discover its treasures.

St Mary's looks forward to welcoming you to our beautiful 13th-century building. There will be displays, a timeline, and photographs explaining the history and work of the church. Among other things, you will be able to see our 15th-century Vestment Press, the 12th-century Aylesbury Font, and our wonderful Gilbert Scott Stained Glass Window. Guides will be on-site to show you all the interesting features of the church.
On Saturday 7th September the bell tower will be open where you can try out some bell ringing.

Accessibility details

Access to the Ringing Chamber in the Tower is by a narrow, stone, circular staircase. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The font is situated on the stage and is accessed via three steps. There is no parking at the church but there are many car parks nearby and a few short-term parking spaces outside the main gates. For those use postcode HP20 2QP
