The former St. Mary's church is normally closed to visitors so take the opportunity to see the beautiful space and let us know if you have a connection to it.

St Mary’s Creative Space is a Grade I listed, decommissioned church with a bossed medieval roof. It houses 72 monuments and cenotaphs dating from 16th - 20th century including the Gamul tomb.

Directions:
Entering Chester from any direction, look for the brown signs to Chester Castle or the Grosvenor Museum. Then follow blue pedestrian signs to St Mary’s Centre. The road ‘St Mary’s Hill’ is opposite The Golden Eagle pub.
