Come up to the Spire Cafe in St Mary's Church Room for soup, hot filled rolls, cakes and our famous scones batch-baked through the day - everything homemade!
11.30am Heritage Talk about St Mary’s and some of its Treasures. Hear our enlightening talk about how the various builders and architects over the ages influenced the design of our landmark church.
2.30pm - 3.30pm Heritage Walk and Talk about Harrow's Contributions towards London's travel networks.
We will lead a Walk and Talk starting from St Mary's Lychgate. This year, we are looking at the history of the routes and travel links around Harrow, Capital of Metroland. We will lead a gentle walk along Harrow's London Road, to Tollgate Cottage, highlighting how local benefactors and entrepreneurs changed the transportation landscape of the nation.
From 1 - 4pm explore St Mary's belltower
St Mary's bellringers are offering a rare chance to enjoy views from the roof and even the top of the tower for a close-up view of the bells and the magnificent spire itself. Tours will be ticketed and will operate in Dry Weather only—for more details see St Mary’s website www.stmarysharrow.org.uk
