The church will be open on Saturday 7th September from 10am to 2pm
Come inside to see a fine collection of 19th and 20th century stained glass.
Several 15th century memorials which reflect the prestige of Kidderminster
as a woollen town in the middle ages. There is also a fine 15th century brass with 3 figures.
St Marys was the church where the 17th century protestant reformer, Richard Baxter
worked and his statue(Thomas Brock)can be seen outside the church by the canal.
During the morning there will be an opportunity(weather permitting) to climb the 85ft to the
top of the tower and witness the views for miles around the town .
The Ringing Chamber in the Tower will be open and you will be able to see the bells
being rung.
This year we will also have a video link between the Ringing Chamber and the Nave so that
0ur visitors will be able to view the bells being rung without having to climb the
tower steps.!
Coffee/Tea and cakes will be served in the church Narthex.
